Details: Review ★★★★★ | Often the best children's book are those relating the familiar in a simple and repetitive way. That is why in my opinion, The Giving Snowman will potentially become a classic. A beautiful story, lovingly illustrated to enhance the words, it shares the message of giving and gratitude. One of my greatest joys in snowy weather was building a snowman with my children. Snowman in this story, is well suited for the winter weather but those he meets are less able to cope with the freezing cold evenings. What little Snowman has he shares without thought of his own needs to ease the problems others are facing. Thereafter when they meet up again they are able to show their appreciation and repay him in their own way. I am grateful to the publishers and NetGalley for an advanced reader's copy.
